As
the brilliant sun glowingly set on the affluent and gorgeous Burlington suburbs,
unleashing aesthetic panoramic glamour, Balians in
Massachusetts converged in the splendid home of Dr Jude and Dr. Judith Fokum, who cheerfully hosted the monthly BCA-USA meeting.
Bali Women: Charm,
Charisma & Challenge
Generous and industrious, they are outstanding

Like their husbands, brothers & fathers
Most Bali women stand tall, strong and sturdy
Beautiful, robust and well built
They charm and cheer, as pretty flowers

A few
changes have been made to give other members a chance to serve and bring in
some more new ideas and energy to add to what the outgoing chairs have already
accomplished. To ensure a smooth transition and coordination of ongoing
committee affairs, I urge all outgoing committee chairs to remain in their
committee as members. As I’ve indicated several times
in the past, every member of this association should make an effort to
contribute to the running of the organization by becoming a member of one of
BCA’s committees. I believe we all have something to contribute in terms of
ideas and resources to help move the association forward and I hope we will all
make it a point to do that.
Eastern Chapter Elects New Leadership

It was 4th of July, a much celebrated day that the
BCA-USA members for Eastern Chapter converge at the Buddy Attick
Park in Greenbelt Maryland for a Post Convention cookout. 5p.m. the place was jammed
full with members and their children moving from one grill to the other
liquidating the abundance of chicken, meat and pork. Seated at one corner, a
loaded trash bag with two viable members regularly on-call serving cups of
chilled beer and wine cooler.
From The Office of the President

It has been
just over a month since we came back from the convention in Baltimore. I hope
everyone has fully recovered. I wish to thank the general assembly on behalf of
the newly elected executive, for entrusting us with the leadership of this
association for the next couple of years. We are truly humbled by the
confidence you've placed in us and we promise to do our very best to move the
association forward.

BCA-USA's newly redesigned website which goes live today aims to give visitors and users more content which is easy to navigate. The site is organized to provide quick and direct access to information about BCA and Bali Chamba. The site features expanded content and incorporates fresh colors and graphics as well as new navigational tools.
The web team, led by BCA President Ni Julius Ndangam has been developing the new design over the past year, working with members of the BCA Publications committee and Process Improvement Committee to better support and reflect BCA's mission and vision.
Balitmore 2010 on my mind/Dreaming of San Jose 2011
Lots of accolades have poured in about the just ended convention in Baltimore. Regrettably, the post-convention recovery that follows a week of non-stop fun, celebrations, reflections and all round enjoyment that only a BCA-USA convention can pull, has dragged on for a full two weeks for some of us! Belated though this is, I wanted to highlight some of the things that have kept Baltimore on my mind as a I dream of San Jose.
